Hull
The hull consists of a glass-fibre reinforced polyester construction (GRP) with stringers, and is laid entirely by hand. The freeboard comes in white as a standard, with a blue-white-blue strip and a blue boot-top.
Keel and rudder
The keel is made of sanded lead and is fastened to the hull with ten 20mm thick stainless steel bolts. The keel weights 1,600 kg, giving the Aphrodite 101 a very high ballast share at 50%, ensuring excellent weight stability. This makes it easy to handle the Aphrodite 101 even under high winds. The rudder is made of GRP and is carried by a 40mm thick stainless steel shaft.
Engine
As a standard, the Aphrodite 101 is produced with a 10 HP Nanni diesel engine with 2 cylinders and a two-circles cooling system, inclusive a shaft unit and a Gori folding propeller (Nanni 2,10 Diesel with level 2 exhaust gas certificate for Lake Constance), which is accessed from both the cockpit and the cabin. The diesel tank can contain up to approx. 30 litres. The gears can be operated from the cockpit, and the diesel tank display is located next to the electric system panel in the cabin.
